Collection, processing and use of usage data of the websites
The BIHK web servers temporarily store each hit in a log file when a user is visiting our websites. The following data are collected and stored until they are deleted automatically:
These data are stored by us for technical safety reasons, including but not limited to warding off any attempts to attack our web server and in addition for fraud control upon suspicion of criminally relevant usage and for investigating the suspicion. The IP address will be analysed in the event of attacks on our network infrastructure only. The usage data stored by the servers are not linked to a natural person.
For the purpose of improvement of user friendliness of our website and for statistical purposes, anonymised data are collected and stored by our service provider. Pseudonymous user profiles are generated based upon such data. For the web analysis, we use the Matomo web analysis software.
The data are not used to identify you personally as a user of the website. IP addresses are anonymised in Matomo by appropriate shortening. By analysing the user data, we obtain anonymised information about the average time spent on the sites and frequency of access to sites. User data are also not linked to data on the person bearing the pseudonym.
